Gene has an extensive senior level and board of director level management experience in finance, commercial real estate and the not for profit sector. She was an Executive Vice President of Sterling Bank and spent seven years as a managing director for regional investment banking firms. Gene currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Planning Office of Urban Affairs, and has served on many additional boards, such as Grove Bank, the First Trade Union Bank, and the Advisory Board of HEARTH. She has been a decade-long trustee at Newton-Wellesley Hospital where she currently serves on the President’s Council and is an Overseer for Life. Gene has participated on the boards of the Greater Boston YMCA, The Charlesbank Homes Foundation, and The Center House. She also is active in her community where she recently chaired a $4.5M capital campaign as part of $12M private public partnership to renovate athletic facilities. Gene holds a MBA from Boston University.
