Laura joined the FUEL team in October 2009 through the Chelsea REACH program.  Prior to FUEL she was working with the Phoenix Charter Academy after a career change from the hospitality industry. Laura graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Hillel Bromberg, Director of Grants Development & Administration

Hillel joined the FUEL team in May 2011, coming to us from Quincy College where he created and staffed the development department. For over two decades, Hillel has researched and written annual reports, handbooks, catalogs, outcomes report, websites, and articles for clients in higher education, social service, mentoring and after-school programs, and the arts. For the last 13 years, Hillel has consulted in organizational advancement, focusing on increasing the variety of income sources for nonprofits. Hillel earned his B.A. in sociology from Boston University.

Kaitlin LeMoine

Kaitlin joined the FUEL team in September 2010. Prior to this, Kaitlin worked at Prospect Hill Academy Charter School for five years. She started at Prospect Hill as the Assistant to the Upper School Director before becoming the Student Enrichment Coordinator. She received a B.A. in Education Studies from Brown University and has a Masters in Education, Policy & Management from Harvard University.

Michelle Murphy,Manager of Site Development

Michelle joined FUEL in October 2011, after spending a few years working as a middle and high school counselor in Florida, as well as with Upward Bound Academy at the University of Florida as a counselor/ advisor for high school juniors and seniors.  She attended the University of Florida for both her graduate and undergraduate studies, receiving Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish, and a Master’s in Education with a Specialist endorsement in School Counseling and Guidance.

Jazmine RamirezAssociate of Curriculum Development and Research

Jazmine joined the FUEL team in September 2011. Prior to FUEL, Jazmine researched and assisted in the development of a comparable data-set of cross-national immigration laws as a Research Assistant for the Harvard Immigration Policy Project. She is a recent graduate from Harvard College (‘11) where she received a B.A. in Sociology, a Secondary in Ethnic Studies, and obtained a Language Citation in Spanish.

Yiming Shuang, Manager of Program Services

Yiming joined the FUEL team in April 2009. She is able to apply her native expertise from Taiwan to speak with families in Mandarin Chinese. Prior to FUEL, Yiming was the Communications and Operations Manager at the Boston History & Innovation Collaborative. Yiming received a B.A. in History and Journalism at National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan. She earned her M.S. in Mass Communications from Boston University.

LaTashaLaTasha Smith, Communications Manager

LaTasha joined FUEL in October 2010. Prior to FUEL she worked as a Marketing Assistant for skirt! Magazine in Atlanta.  LaTasha also worked in Marketing & Resource Development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens, Georgia. She received a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Georgia and is currently completing a Masters in Public Administration at Northeastern University.
